We would like to take a moment to honor a Seat Belt Coalition member, Officer Kyle Wills, a Law Enforcement Liaison (LEL) for the ITD Office of Highway Safety, and a motorcycle officer on the traffic team for the Boise City Police Department. His willingness and dedication for going above and beyond the call of duty has improved the education and safety of many individuals.
An LEL, Wills is able to reach out to Idaho citizens with information and lessons that save lives and make Idaho a safer place. Wills teaches communications, human resources, and cultural diversity at North Idaho College and the POST Academy, in addition to speaking at driver?s education classes. He also maintains his role as advanced accident investigator, which requires him to investigate severe or fatal traffic crashes. Outside of his patrolling with a motorcycle unit, he owns Kyle Wills Consulting and provides education for private businesses about violence in the workplace.
Wills is modest about his community contributions, and in an unassuming way offers an explanation about why he enjoys being a police officer, ?I get to see the difference I can make in people?s lives on a daily basis.?
We want to thank Officer Wills for his selfless hard work and commitment to making the State of Idaho a better place.
